"Port is a Top 12 travel startup to look out for in 2021"
- Plug and Play Tech Center
Senior Front-End Web Developer
Location: Remote (Asia time zone)
Start Date: Mar/Apr 2021
Port enables people to see and do more around the world in real-time. What will you do?
Just like remote work from home, we are creating remote travel from home: People can request Port guides around the world to bring them to an event or venue through a live video call. They instruct the guide where to go and what to do using the Port remote control platform.
Based in Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan, Port has been part of the Plug and Play Travel & Hospitality accelerator and the Korea Startup Grand Challenge Accelerator and has been invested by notable strategic partners in the travel industry in Japan and Korea.
As a senior front-end web developer, you will be working on the main web platform that enables our users to travel the world from home.
You will lead the development to create the most user-friendly and awesome-featured web application that is pioneering the remote travel industry.
We are currently a small team of less than 10, so you will be involved from the early stages of a global startup.
What You Will Do:
Implement new user-facing features for the Port web application
Work closely with other design & development team members to launch an easy-to-use and stable web application used by people around the world
Perform testing & optimization
Bug-fixing the Port web application as necessary
Use and create reusable libraries and frameworks to increase development efficiency and improve code quality
You will be working directly with the CTO
Our Tech Stack:
Have a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent industry experience
Have an eye for detail and good design sense for implementing UI designs
Have experience in developing responsive web sites for various devices
Have intermediate level of English or higher for day-to-day communication
